Bobby Joe Woods

Bobby Joe Woods, 79, of Jasper passed away on September 30, 2020 in Jasper. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Nedville Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at West Oaks Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Nedville Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bobby Joe was born on December 23, 1940 in Newton, Texas to George Russell &Geraldine Adams Woods. A resident of Jasper, he retired from Harris County and was a veteran serving in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Woods of Jasper; daughter Monica June Woods of Katy; brothers Lloyd Russell Woods &wife Caryl of McKinney, Larry Bruce Woods &wife Sheryl of Tatum, and Arthur Frank Woods &wife Rebecca of Woodville; granddaughter Leigh Anne Westbrook &husband Richard of Vidor; a great-grandson Weston Lee Davis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents George Russell &Geraldine Adams Woods, brothers Billy Jack Woods and Lee Henry Woods.
