Calvin Ray Bynum Sr.

Calvin Ray Bynum Sr., 80, of Jasper passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 in Beaumont, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Jasper County Cowboy Church at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Calvin was born on August 18, 1946 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Harvey & Betty Bynum. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a contract worker in maintenance for chemical plants until his retirement. He moved to Jasper in 2015 from Baytown, Tx. He loved time in the outdoors and mowing.

He is survived by his wife Wendy Bynum of Jasper; son Calvin Ray Bynum Jr. & wife Karol of Austin; daughter Stacy Burton & husband Dan of Mt. Belvieu; brother Henry Earl Bynum & wife Lisa of Farmersville, Louisiana; sister Jean Heisler of Monroe, Louisiana; as well as grandchildren Will, Joshua, Darby, McKenzie, and Kendall.
