Carolyn Varue LeDoux, 85 of Kirbyville, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Harbor Hospice in Jasper after battling an illness. Services will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Magnolia Springs Methodist Church at 3:00 pm. Family will greet the public from 2:00 pm until service time.
She was born April 7, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Clyde and Hulan McLeod. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956. She worked for Fuller, Fuller and McPherson a prominent law firm for about 10 years. During that time, she married Gene LeDoux on December 8, 1961, where they resided in Port Arthur. She also worked at Sabine State Bank and was executive secretary to several bank presidents. She was also President of the Port Arthur Legal Secretaries from 1970-71. In 1984 they moved to Magnolia Springs where she went to work for Kirbyville State Bank as an executive secretary to the president. She enjoyed playing 42 with her group “the forget me dots”, square dancing, and also had a green thumb when it came to plants.
She is survived by daughters, Rene’ Ellis and husband Kennon of Kirbyville and Becky McBride and husband Steven of Silsbee. Sisters, Peggy Ibrahim of Bedford and Pam Young of Graford. Granddaughters, Landrie Adams and husband Kyle and Kathryn Ellis. Great granddaughter Bonnie Mae Adams along with numerous nieces and nephews.
