Charles E. Hebert Sr. (Bear), 87, of Jasper passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home in Jasper. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bear was born on September 11, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas to Wilford &Sarah Hebert. A heavy equipment operator, he also served his country in the United States Military. He is survived by his children Jo Lynn Holland &husband Nathan of Jasper, Charles E. Hebert Jr. &wife Loretta of Nederland, Sandy French &husband Richard of Jasper, and Allen Hampshire &wife Carrie of Vidor, grandchildren David Meyers &wife Cayla of Angleton, Charles Meyers of Lufkin, Jaclyn Myers &husband Kenyon of Rayburn, Amanda Ball &husband Daniel of Jefferson County, Lisa Scott of Jefferson County, Beth Bennett, Billy Bennett &wife Sam, Ricki Millburn, Jillian Scott &husband Jesse, and Sharon Steven &husband Micheal; great grandchildren Aubree Meyers, Barrett Meyers, Remington Myers, Kimberly Ball, William Ball, Samantha Guidry, Rylee Scott, and Kasey Scott; as well as 13 additional great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilford &Elizabeth Hebert, sisters Francis Hampshire and Percie Jo Hebert, a brother-in-law Leslie Hampshire, a daughter-in-law Capri Hampshire, and a great grandson Jack Ball.
