Dustin Kade Lummus

Dustin Lummus, 43, of Kirbyville passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Kirbyville, 105 N. Barrow St. Kirbyville, Texas.

A life-long resident of the area, Dustin was born on March 12, 1982 in Jasper, Texas. A creative soul, he loved the outdoors and camping, but really enjoyed playing the guitar, creative writing, and reading his Bible.

He is survived by a family that loved him dearly; his Grandma Rose Lummus of Kirbyville; son Johnathan Lummus of Kirbyville; daughters Mary Jane Porterfield & husband Tyler of Destin, Florida, Janis Lummus of Newton, Annabelle Lummus of Kirbyville; brother William Lummus of Las Vegas; grandchildren Ayden Hale, Winter Chatham, and Vayda Chatham; aunt Joni Concienne and uncle Edward Lummus. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents Robert & Lucille Gerald; grandfather Clyde Lummus; and his mother Angela Joy Lummus Smith.
