Gary Lee Dowling Sr.

Gary Dowling, 69, of Jasper passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texaswith Brother Ray Meador officiating.

Gary Lee Dowling Sr. was born on August 27, 1954 in Orange, Texas to Claire Leroy "Larry"&Joyce Dowling. He was a supervisor for WestRock Paper Mill for many years. A resident of Groves for many years, he moved to Jasper in 2015.  A family man who was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Kathy Dowling of Jasper, whom he married on May 9, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada; mother Joyce Rice of Kingwood; sons Gary Lee Dowling Jr. of San Antonio and Kenneth Gazzaway &husband Greg Hogben of Crawley, West Sussex United Kingdom; daughters Amy Moore &husband James of Groves and Kendra Monk &husband Dennis of Bridge City; brother Ted Dowling &wife Jeanne of DeQuincy, Louisiana; sister Clarice “Sissy” Ellisor &husband Glenn of Kingwood; grandchildren Stefan, Brittany, Jessica, and Emma; as well as great grandchildren Skyler, Spencer, Brayden, Presley, Blair, &Parker.
