Glenda Sue Due Dickerson, 74, of Jasper passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Jasper with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
A native and life-long resident of Jasper, Glenda was a devoted wife, mother and Mammaw. She was born on February 15, 1946 to William Glenn &Ruby Marie Due in Jasper. She was a graduate of Jasper High School and worked alongside her parents and husband at the family owned Due's Minimax. She then went to work as a Floral Designer, alongside her daughter at Bobbie's Bokay Florists for nearly 20 years before retiring. Retirement allowed her to be a loving Mammaw to her grandchildren. On November 19, 1964 in Rockport, Texas, she married the love of her life of 56 years, Jim Dickerson. She is survived by her husband Jim Dickerson of Jasper; daughters Sandy Bumstead of Jasper and Rebel Hood &husband Patrick of Jasper; son Jamie Dickerson &wife Melaney of Jasper; and brother Raymond Due of Lufkin; grandchildren W.J. Rogers, Sterling Hood &wife Rachel, Lauren Hood &fiancé' Austin Brosin, Kayle Dickerson, Shelby "Buck" Dickerson &Chelsea Bumstead; as well as great grandson Owen Walter aka "Precious" Hood. She loved her grandchildren like no other, and was overjoyed when Owen was born, he was an added light to her life.
