Herbert "Bubba" Kelley

Herbert “Bubba” Kelley, 69 of Newton, Texas passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Rayburn Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Jasper, Texas. He was born on March 23, 1957 to Herbert D. Kelley and Rosalie Kelley in West Columbia, Texas.

He graduated from Newton High School in 1975 and played on the 1974 Texas State Champion football team. He lived in Newton for the majority of his life, working as a welder until his retirement.

He is survived by his son Blake Kelley & wife Jessica of San Antonio, Texas; step-daughter Tammy Blanchard & husband Craig of Jasper, Texas; and grandchildren Katalina and Frankie Kelley and Calie Blanchard.
