Jacqueline Rice Youngblood, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Runnels Cemetery in Broaddus, Texas. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home.
Jacqueline Rice Youngblood was born November 17, 1939, in Corpus Christi Texas. She was raised in Houston and graduated from Lamar High School in 1958. She attended St. Paul Methodist Church and always felt at home there. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1962 where she was an active member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She loved horses her entire life and was a wrangler at Cheley Colorado Camp. She married her husband Frank on September 29, 1962. They lived in Austin Texas for fifty years where she led Bible study Fellowship and attended small group at Austin Oaks Church. Jackie loved the Lord with all of her heart, soul, and mind, and she loved others as herself. Jackie is survived by her loving husband Frank Polk Youngblood, son Jeffrey Dowling Youngblood, sisters Jerilyn Keith, Joanne Handleman, Judy Hartung, brother Robert V. Rice, grandson Joe Canfield, and many nieces and nephews, as well as a wealth of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Gerald Rice and Maurine Perkins Rice and son Michael Polk Youngblood.
