James William Payne

Jim Payne, 82, of Jasper passed away on July 27, 2025 in Jasper. Jim was born on May 31, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to B.G. & Elizabeth Payne Baird. He grew up in Sulphur Springs and was a resident of Emory, Texas prior to moving to Jasper in 2020. He retired as a sheet metal mechanic from Brant Engineering. He loved and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Barbara Payne of Jasper; son Robert Payne & wife Tracee of Lake Tawakoni; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
