James Tompkins

James Everett Tompkins, 86, of Zavalla passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Shultz Chapel at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

James was born on December 15, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas to James & Euna Tompkins. He worked in the Oil Industry and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Gloria Tompkins of Zavalla, Tx; Daughters Beccy & Ben Kerns of Sweeney, Tx, Rosa “ Tiny” & Steve Russell of Beaumont, Tx, Elizabeth “Peanut” Lobue of Brazoria, Tx, Shirley & Richard Cody of Kountze, Tx, Judy & John Spears of Jasper, Tx; Sisters Ida & Charles Flowers of Conroe, Tx, Patsy Ruth & Mack Durham of Baytown, Tx; Grandchildren Sandy, Laura, Lindsey, Jimmy, Ashley, Emily, Otis, Kristie, Brittany, Shelby, Jaci, & Allison; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
