Janice Henley

Janice Lee Sorrell Henley, 88, of Jasper, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas, at Harbor Hospice. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. August 9, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.

Janice was born on July 1, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas to Floyd Sorrell and Beatrice McCracken Sorrell. She and her husband Clinton moved to Jasper in 1996 to enjoy retirement. She was a devoted follower of Christ and dearly loved her family. She married her high School sweet heart, Clinton, on November 12, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Clinton Henley. She is survived by her son Steve Henley &wife Cathy of Lumberton; daughter Becky O'Dell &husband Tim of South Weber, Utah; grandchildren Krystal Nicole Coates, Bryan Henley and Tiffany Smith; great grandchildren Sage Massingill, Lily Massingill, Noah Smith, Clay Smith; as well as three great-great grandchildren Roselyn Massingill, Brooks Massingill, and Briar Ann Nichole Ballou.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice in Beaumont for their compassion and excellent care, and the Jasper Church of Christ, where she was a member of 27 years, for the many months of providing meals and countless acts of kindness and service.
