Jim Curry

Jim Curry, 68, of Jasper passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at his home on Toledo Bend in Burkeville.

James Allen Curry was born on February 23, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois to John & Donita Curry. A farmer by trade, he was a hard-working family man. He had a talent for using his hands, whether it be in his garage, building structures, or he was even known to have a green thumb. Providing and helping his family was a top priority and a joy in his life. The pride and love he had for his grandchildren and great grandchildren was evident by the smile on his face. On October 27, 2022, he married the love of his life Molly Curry, and they had a wonderful life with lasting memories.

He is survived by his wife Molly Curry of Burkeville; sons Jason Curry of Peoria, Illinois, Justin Curry & wife Nancy, Jerrod Curry, Joe Curry & wife Rachel all of Chillicothe, Illinois, Clay Jennusa of Nederland, Syd Jennusa of Port Neches, Louis Moore of Georgetown; daughters Andrea Spears & husband Greg of Brookeland, Ashley Hendrix of St. Louis, Missouri, and Angela Bruce of Mansfield, Texas; sisters Gabby Curry of Chillicothe, Illinois and Kim Hastings of Florida; as well as numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren Nova and Leon.
