John Henry Midkiff

John Henry Midkiff, 69, of Newton passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

A native of Deridder, Louisiana, John Henry was born on January 2, 1952 to L.B. &Wanda Midkiff. A long-time resident of Newton, he worked for Louisiana Pacific for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife Cathy Midkiff, whom he married on June 1, 1992 in Newton; daughters Shon Belcher &husband Ray of Bon Weir and Kaci Harvey of Newton; a mother-in-law Willie Harvey of Newton; sisters-in-law Carla Janeaux &husband Randy of Kountze and Cristi Vinson &husband Keith of Tulsa Oklahoma; as well as grandchildren Denise, Jonah &Colt and a great grandchild Kaisley.
