Judith Kate Chelette, 83, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2026 in Jasper. She was born on August 28, 1942 to Ben and Fayrene Whitson in Waxahachie, Texas. A private service will be held at a later date. She is survived by her daughters Juli Anna Platt and husband Lathen of Brookeland, Texas, Mari Anna Ladd and husband Kenneth of Smithville, Texas; sister Bennie Jo Barclay of Boerne, Texas; very close niece Teri Beth Spaugh; family friends & partners in remolding each other’s homes Brenda and Bubba Levy; grandchildren Jared and Georgia.
