Lynn Ray Rose

Lynn Ray Rose, 79, of Jasper passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at his residence in Jasper. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Lynn was born on March 17, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas to McCurty & Donna Rose Sr. A heavy equipment operator in the construction business, he served his country in the United States Army. A long-time resident of Jasper, he was a resident of Buna prior to moving to Jasper. A man who loved a good whiskey and a smoke, he had a great sense of humor and loved some good gossip. He enjoyed golf, even if he had to watch it on tv, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. Most importantly he kept busy with his family. He was a great Dad, Granddad, and Great Granddad. He loved his family and was very proud of all of them.

He is survived by his son Michael Ray Solomon and with Susan of Doyline, Louisiana, Larry Hudnall of Jasper, and John A. Hudnall & wife Elizabeth of Jasper; daughter Felicia Matthews & husband Larry of Jasper; brother Mack Rose & wife Sondra of Buna and Dan Rose & wife Debbie of Moody, Texas; sisters Madena Rose of Vidor and Helen Campbell of Kirbyville; as well as 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Rose, son Kenneth Hudnall, granddaughter Ashley Hudnall, grandson Weston Allen Duke, and grandson Chris Solomon.
