Marla Cathey

Marla Cathey, 60, of Jasper passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Baylor St. Lukes Hospital in Houston. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Shultz Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Marla was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 29, 1962 to Amon William &Gwendolyn McNabb Cathey Jr. She was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1980 and had lived in Jasper for the past 45 years. She is survived by her sister Jennifer Forward &husband D’Andre of Jasper; brother Amon “Skeeter” Cathey III &wife Melinda of Hondo; dear friends Danny &Curtis Hancock of Jasper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
