Marshall Walter Marthaler

Marshall Walter Marthaler, 79, of Jasper passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Shultz Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.

A native of Goodrich, Wisconsin, Marshall was born on September 4, 1940 to Walter and Elizabeth Marthaler. He was a long-time resident of Jasper, moving here in 1973. A carpenter by trade, he worked as a contractor for Brown &Root, Haliburton, and various others. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved woodworking and the outdoors. He is survived by his daughter Mary Gillis and husband Stacy of Jasper; brothers Ralph Marthaler &wife Lynn of Medford, Wisconsin and Neil Marthaler &wife Sandy of Athens, Wisconsin; sisters Sherrie Podgorski &husband Stan of Eauclaire, Wisconsin and Lea Anne Farr of Blue Springs, Missouri; as well as his grandson Grant Gillis. He is preceded in death by his wife Billie Lois Marthaler.
