Mary Lou Owens, 83, of Jasper, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was born on October 17, 1941 to Martin and Marie Derfler. Mary graduated from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1961. She dedicated her life to helping others until her retirement in 1998. She is survived by her husband Jerry Owens of Jasper, Texas; son Jerry Owens Jr, and wife Jasmine of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter Misty Hall and husband Justin of Corpus Christi, Texas; and grandchildren Ethan, William, Elizabeth, Juliana, and Alister.
