Nina Hayes

Nina Hayes, 90, of Jasper passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 in Jasper. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with interment to follow at West Oaks Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.

Nina was born on March 20, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Byron & Elvera Metchell. A life-long resident of Jasper, Nina leaves behind a family that she loved. She is survived by her daughter Janice Burks of Jasper; son Barry Hayes & wife Donna of Jasper; sister Peggy Lane of Batson; grandchildren April Wheeler & husband Christopher, Brandon Anderson & wife Felicia, Cathy Moye & husband Dustin, Bradley Anderson & wife Autumn & Lori Fair; 17 great grandchildren; as well as 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth "Little Red" Hayes and daughter daughter Cathy Hayes.
