Patricia “Patty” Louise Powell was born on October 8, 1951, to Walter &Dorothea Sheakley Powell in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She left behind her loved ones to treasure her memories on August 5, 2024, at her home in Jasper Texas.
In Patty’s early adult years, she worked for General Motors in a local factory, but once she started her family she moved to Burkeville, and worked as a housekeeper in Toledo Bend and Sabine River Authority, while she focused on raising her daughters.
Patty was a mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all, but her most treasured title was Granny. To know her was to love her and listen to stories of her grandkids, they brought her great joy through every season of life. Patty had a love for all things thrifty, and searching for a good bargain, when she wasn’t hunting bargains, you could find her cheering and supporting her grandkids. Be it at the soccer fields, football games, dance or church activities, she was always their biggest supporter. She was proud of their every accomplishment, believed in them and made sure they knew how much she loved them.
She leaves behind daughters Rochelle Waldrep (Ben), &Tiffany Mijares (Patricio) both of Jasper, Texas. Grandkids, Esperanza, Makala, Patricio Jr., Makai, Mireyna, &Bella, along with great granddaughter Valerie. Brother William Powell (Bridget), Nieces Jessica Wheeler (Kenneth), Kimberly Multari (Brian), &nephew Ryan Powell.
Patty now joins her mother and father, along with her sister Nancy Downs who went before her. Condolences can be posted at www.shultzfuneralhomeofjasper.com, on Facebook at Shultz Funeral Home &Crematory, or on Instagram at Shultzfh.
