Rita Fowler

Rita Fowler, 67, of Jasper passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Beaumont, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Marietta “Rita” Fowler was born on January 10, 1956 to Elmer &Wynell Letney in Pasadena, Texas. A long-time Jasper resident, Rita was a hard worker, who loved the outdoors, butterflies, hummingbirds, fishing, and the color purple. She also loved her family. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by her sons Jackie Wilson of Jasper and Wesley Fowler &wife Courtney of Woodville; daughters Tonya Wilson of Jasper and Sheila Doolittle of Palestine; a sister Brenda Twiner of Jasper; grandchildren Austan, Jordan, Launa, Brandon, Rylee, Makennah, Knox, and Kobe; as well as great grandchildren Liam, Wyatt, Lincoln, &Leia.
