Roddy “Rowdy” McCoy, 58 of Jasper passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper.

Rowdy was born on November 11, 1964 to Boyd &Gladys Jo McCoy in Jasper, Texas. A native and lifelong resident of Jasper, he worked for JBC Construction for many years. He is survived by his dad Boyd McCoy &wife Sonjia of Jonesville, Louisiana; wife Mary Jane McCoy of Jasper; daughter Kourtney Bankd of Deer Park; brother Ronnie Joe Smith &wife Deborah of Dallas; sisters Anna Marie Ruston &husband Jimmie of Nacogdoches and Doris Morton of Nacogdoches; cousins Kenneth Woods and Keith Woods; as well as partners Zachary Clark, Logan Clark, Noah Clark, Macon Mendoza, Colt Clark and Hunter Clark. He is preceded in death by his mother Gladys Smith, step-father Bobby Joe Smith, sister Barbara Jo DuBose and Wendy McCoy.
