Ruby Lois Jones

Ruby Lois Jones, 85, of Huntsville, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Huntsville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. An interment service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery in Waco, Texas.

Ruby Lois Jones was born on March 1, 1938, to James and Rose Jones in McLennan County. She grew up in Waco and was a founding member of the Woodway United Methodist Church. She was an educator, who retired from West Independent School District. Upon moving to Jasper, she joined and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jasper, the Jasper Retired Teacher's Association, the Pine Country Gem &Mineral Society, as well as the Jasper Women's Civic Club. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Karen Jones of Huntsville; nephew Martin Jones &wife Jennifer of Huntsville; nieces Donna Bridges of Grandview and Melody Pokladnik &husband Jordan of Carrolton; great-nephews James Bridges &wife Jessica and Justin Bridges and wife Shannon of Grandview; great-niece Kennedy and McKinley, and great great-nephews Zane and Hoyt. She is preceded in death by her parents James Jones and Rose Long Jones and brothers James Jones and Martin Jones.
