Vurnis Neil Coleman, 84 of Kirbyville, Texas was born on March 14, 1937 in San Augustine to Tomey and Ethel Vestal Coleman. He passed away peacefully in his sleep into the Presence of The Lord Jesus Christ on June 16, 2021 at Avalon Place nursing home in Kirbyville, after many struggles with various and challenging illnesses.
He never forgot his faith in The Lord Jesus Christ to deliver him, and overcome, according to the Perfect Will of The Lord Jesus Christ that he loved with all of his heart. He was a welder and die tooling maintenance foreman at Eastham Forge in Beaumont, Texas for 30 plus years. He was an industrious and detail oriented man. He had to do every job perfectly, and he was that way in every facet of his life. He was always low key and respectful to all. He was looked up to by his grandkids when playing his guitar, singing in his sweet southern charm and humorous light laughter. He had a passion for his classic Turquoise 1965 Galaxie 500 with homemade exhaust that sounded so, so good. He wore his cowboy hat and shined like a true Texan with pride in his garden, flowers and his care for home and family. He made wonderful gifts with wood, and was quite the talented craftsman, making rocking horses, rocking chairs, a big toy box, baseball bat holder, and the famous Charlie the Tuna cartoon, and many other sweet loving gifts including all sorts of beautiful home crafts. Papaw gave with a huge heart when he hugged, and smile laughed with his Santa Claus eyes and white beard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judith (Judi) Coleman and their daughters Melissa Capps &husband Jeremy of Tennessee, Geneva Danna &husband Carmello Jr. of Lumberton, Patricia Bengston &husband Kenny of Village Mills, and Tammy Hulsey &husband David of Orange; stepdaughters Denise Rush &husband Mark of Beaumont and Karen Mirrone of Indiana; a stepson Albert Wood of Dallas; grandchildren Ethan, Emily, Ellie &Everly Capps, Carmello, Crystal &Joshua Danna, John Robert Patterson, Theron, Trevor, Taylor, &Dayla Hulsey, Keith Prohn, Ryan Hicks, and Steven Wood; great grandchildren Michael Wood, Tyler Danna, Dominick Danna, Chelsie Danna, Ohna Danna, Micayle Danna, Joshua Danna, Rubi Danna &Lyla Grace Patterson; as well as great great grandchildren Delilah Danna, Benjamen Danna &Christopher Moore.
