Wallace B. Hare, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1941 in Silsbee, Texas to William & Iva Hare. He moved to Jasper in 1979 and was a long-time resident. He was very patriotic and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. A painter by trade, he was a hard worker who would help anyone who needed it. He loved to garden and his animals.

He is survived by his sons Wallace D. Hare, Steven Hare & wife Tammy, and Dallas Hare & partner Casey Isaacs; daughters Kelly Gazarkiewicz & husband Joe, Tina Nicholas, Tami Merka & husband Todd, and Lisa Shonkwiler and husband Terry; grandchildren Wallace Jr., Lyndy, Brooke, Wyatt, Clayton, Michael, Katy, Justin, Hunter, Cutter, and Cody; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; a best friend Greg Moore and friend and neighbor David that checked in on him daily. He is preceded in death by his parents William Haskell Hare and Iva Hatcher Hare, a brother William Hare, and sister Ida Greer. The family will have a private Celebration of Life with family and close friends at a later date.
