William “Bill” Monday, 73, of Jasper passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Beech Grove Baptist Church with  interment to be held at West Oaks Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Beech Grove Baptist Church.

Bill was born on September 10, 1950 to William and Beatrice Monday in Hammond, Louisiana. He was a resident of Jasper since 1975. He received a Bachelor’s degree from McNeese University in Forestry. He worked for the Kirby Lumber Company and transferred from Louisiana to the Silsbee plant in 1975. Bill owned and operated his own nursery which allowed him to do something that he loved. He loved his wife and family, loved taking care of those in need, was a great story teller, gardener, and a man of values. His was honest, caring, soft hearted, and a good friend. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Monday of Jasper, Texas, son Michael Byerly and wife Cori of Warsaw, Missouri; Sister Teri Monday of Jasper, Texas; grandchildren Shelby, Tricia, Kelsy, Morgan, and nine Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, with interment at Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Lois was born on July 28, 1934, to Willis and Ruth Humphrey in Long Branch, West Virginia. After she completed high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force and served as an Air Evac in the Korean War. She was a flight attendant and loved to travel.  She taught in schools at Panama Canal in South America, Alabama, and South Carolina.  She met her husband James Floyd Peck in Alaska when they were both in the Air Force and was married to him for 41 years.  She was a woman of faith and strong love of God was in her heart. She loved the outdoors and nature. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Hughes and husband John, Janet Isom and husband Charles; son Wayne “Bubba” Peck; her brother Jim Humphrey and wife Donna; her Aunt Rosebud Logan and family; Grandchildren Kelsie Smith and husband Robert Holden, Luke Hughes and wife Catherine, Lynae Hutchinson and husband Charid, Amy Hale and husband Blake, Ashley Moretz and husband Riley Alley, Stephanie Lovelace and husband Cody, and Kathryn Williams and husband Cody; great grandchildren Landen, Hayden, Anastyn, Jackson, Avery, Hallie, Tessa, Addison, Collins, Parker, Mason, Haley, Isabella, Addison, Layla, Greyson, Bryson, Houston.  She is preceded in death by her husband James Floyd Peck, parents Willis and Ruth Humphrey, and stepfather Thomas E.
